Frage 1

I’ve been working as a graphic designer from last year, because I’ve recently finished the high school studies . I’m also currently studying digital illustration at the International School of Comics in Turin. I’m studying in this field to become a professional Illustrator. Since I was 7 years old I loved to draw and create things, so this passion is all for me.

Frage 2

It’s hard for me to choose one of my creations, because I’m always self-critical with my self, because I know that I can do better than this and that I can push my self even further. But if I have to choose one of my recent designs, I will choose: „The path of the legend“. It’s the name of my penultimate post that I
shared on my Instagram account and that illustration represents the Asics‘ tennis shoes in collaboration with Novak Đoković for the Australian Open in 2019. I wanted to recreate this stilized,minimalistic version of Nole’s shoes to attract immediatly the attention of t he viewer. The message of that design is to show the „path“ of an athlete, who inspired millions of people with his dedication to a sport like tennis. Nole inspired me since I was 12 years old. He is my idol. He teaught, not just to me but also to other millions of people to belive in our dreams and in our abilities. So that’s why I wanted to represents in most of my illustrations and also to thank him for all his achievements.

Frage 3

It’s a complex process. First you need to know what are the interests of the people and from that trying to understand their feelings. For doing this you need to learn to observe what surround you in your daily life and to absorb from that. The n, you start to do some research about the story and the argument that you want to people’s eyes. So from that, you create a moodboard with all the essentials things. Then, you strat to vcreate the sketches of the ideas that you have in your own mind. After this process, try to fix the things that you think will not work and then you start the final step, which is adding colours, shadow, lights and all kinds of stuff. That’s it!

Frage 4

In my opinion, you can see the difference between a bad design and a good design by the fundamentals. If the key things are not there, lik: anatomy, understanding the light sources, perspective, etc., the final product will not work. I’m not a professional illustartor yet, but based on my experience you need to learn and to know the fundamentals. Other then that it’s necessary to train daily on it, with that you will master the technique.

Frage 5

The challenges for a graphic designer is to understand fully what clients want, as I said before, and be consistent. With this I mean, produce as much as possible. This is the key. It’s also important to know how to deal with deadlines. That’s a matter of time. Managing with all these things, you can show to the world how good you are.

Frage 6

In my free time, I usually like to play tennis, which I like so much. I also love to read books, especially biographies and autobiographies of famous people, to know how they achieved certain goals. I like to learn new languages. I’m currently working on my Croatian, which is not that great unfortunately, but I absolutely love it and I’m also studying a little bit of Russian. I have also hobbies like: collecting action figures, comic book and so on. I love to watch films, tv series and understand the work behind all of them.

Frage 7

I have a strong connection with my Croatian’s roots. I have a lot of relatives there and I like to visit them, when I have the opportunity. Croatian’s sea and cities are beautiful. I love the Balkan culture, the languages, the food. I have a lot of respect for the Balkan people. They know how to work hard to achievetheir goals. Balkan people are stong, kind hearted and welcoming. That’s why I love them so much. I’m inspired by them. I’m proud to be half Croatian.

Frage 8

I usually travel one time a year to Croatia. But unfortunately with the current situation that wasn’t possible to do. Three places that I recommend to visit in Croatia are: Zadar, Zagreb and Dubrovnik. Zadar, for the historic Roman Monuments. For the Sea Organ which is composed by stones and rocks, which are located in the seabed, near the seafront. If you get close to the sea part of Zadar you will hear the magical melody made by the sea water that passes trough the Sea Organ. Zagreb, because is a modern capital, where you can find everything you want. There you can visit magnificent monuments like: The Catholic Cathedral of Zagreb, San Marco’s Church and the Croatian Parliament, which I think these are the main keys of this wondrful city. And last but not least, Dubrovnik. For the Old and Historic City which is located near the sea, surrounded by Medieval walls. Some of the scenes of „Game of Thrones“ were filmed there because for the presence of Medieval Castles and for the breathtaking view.

Frage 9

I think Italian and Croatian mentalities are pretty similar. But I think that there is a little difference, which is that the Croatian people know how to demonstrate in the best way their skills and they never give up if things gets easy.

Frage 10

ZAJEDNO means to me to be open-mineded. Try to learn from other people’s passions, experiences. Embrace the differences and be greatful with them. Because if we have the time to understand the others, we have also the possibility to know and be the best version of our selves.
